Q - How do I know what size to choose?
A - Measure the width of the bath from outer rim to outer rim. The size of shower board you require should not exceed this
Q - The rim of my bath is narrow, will this affect whether I can use a shower board?
A - It is recommended that the rim of the bath should be wide enough to accommodate at least 40mm (1.5',) on each side, for the board to rest on.
Q - Is this be suitable for use on a curved/unusual shaped bath?’
A - Unfortunately, bath/shower boards aren’t suitable for curved / unusual shaped baths. The brackets will not be able to sit flush with the inside of the bath and so will not be able to securely or safely fit.
Q - How is a bath / shower board used?
A - A person should back up to the edge of the bath so that they can feel the side of the bath behind their legs. They then lower their bottom onto the board and, from a seated position, can then lift and swing their legs into the bath one at a time. The seated position enables the whole process to be done in stages allowing the option of rests between each stage. The process can then be repeated in reverse to get out of the bath.
